A complete logo and branding project developed for freelance photographer Nik Dempe. The brief called for an identity that felt distinctive, personal, and reflective of a creative practice built around authentic, emotive imagery.
The centerpiece is a custom hand-lettered wordmark. Hand lettering was chosen over traditional type to communicate individuality and craftsmanship — qualities central to Nik's approach to photography. Each letterform was carefully considered to strike a balance between elegance and approachability, resulting in a mark that feels refined without being stiff.
Color plays a key role in the identity. A gradient spanning warm orange to soft pink gives the logo a sense of energy and depth, drawing on associations with natural light and warmth. The palette is versatile enough to work across both digital and print applications while remaining immediately recognizable.
Together, the wordmark and color system form a cohesive identity that positions Nik Dempe as a photographer with a strong, confident creative voice.
